Disease, dullness, doubt, carelessness, laziness, sensuality, false perception, failure to reach firm ground and slipping from the ground gained—these distractions of the mind-stuff are the obstacles.

Obstacles and distractions on our paths are inevitable. We know this, and with this knowledge we can shift our expectations from perfection to progression. The mind cannot function at the same level of engagement always—it has its ebbs & flows.

Our Yoga practice is like an obstacle course; the obstacle is the way, and the only way forward it through. These obstructions are there to make us understand and express our own capacities.

When obstacles arise may you meet them with curiosity to understand and lean into the lesson with compassion & non-judgement. Remember your inherent strength.
