What is Alignment?

A term often used in the spiritual and wellness worlds. But what does it actually mean? Alignment is an energetic state of being where one’s energy is centered, clear & open along the Sushumna Nadi allowing the free flow of Divine & Earthly energies through the human energy system.



A Sattvic state of harmony, balance & integration emerges from this alignment creating union of the Whole self (Mind-Body-Soul) with the Divine. This is Yoga.

We practice Yoga to progress along our Dharmic path, living in our soul’s purpose, evolving toward embodiment (being fully in our body) and liberation (from the fluctuations of the mind). The human condition is messy. We aren’t expected to be in perfect alignment in all moments. The practice of Yoga is to cultivate awareness to notice when we have shifted out of alignment and respond by adjusting to empowered action, returning to our center. It’s not a finite journey with a specific destination, rather an infinite spiral dance along the middle way toward the center of the center of the center.
